Eurostar is the high-speed rail service linking London Waterloo station to France and Belgium via the Channel Tunnel. Starting operations in 1994, it provides city-centre-to-city-centre services between London, Paris and Brussels at speeds of up to 186mph with onward high-speed connections across continental Europe. Eurostar has more than doubled the total number of passengers travelling (by air or rail) between London and Paris/Brussels and has sold more than 50 million tickets since operations began.
From its base at London Waterloo, Eurostar runs up to 14 inter-capital services to and from Paris and up to 8 to and from Brussels daily. As the high-speed rail link from London to the channel coast is extended, journey times are falling. The fastest journey time between London and Paris is now 2 hours and 35 minutes, and two hours and 20 minutes between London and Brussels. In addition, selected services call at Lille and Calais Frethun in Northern France and Ashford International in Kent.
There are direct daily services from Waterloo and Ashford to the gates of Disneyland Resort Paris and, during the winter holiday season, Eurostar operates services from Waterloo and Ashford to Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice in the French Alps. In summer, Eurostar operates direct train services to Avignon which operate on Saturdays.
Together with the high speed rail services in France (TGV) and Belgium (Thalys), Eurostar Plus provides convenient and fast connections to over 100 destinations in the French, Belgian and Dutch provinces.
PricesEurostar's ticket prices vary to meet all budgets. Leisure travellers enjoy the cheapest fares - with permanent lead-in short break fares from £59. These tickets are non-exchangeable and have a Saturday night stay away condition. Eurostar also offers weekend day trip fares from £59. For business travellers, fares include Business Value return fares at £199 in standard class and £319 in first class for use on off-peak trains, and fully flexible business fares from London to Paris at £298 return in standard class and £415 in first class.Timetables and Information

Taking Your Car On The Train: Eurotunnel
Eurotunnel operates a regular drive-on-drive-off shuttle service for cars and many other types of vehicle through the Channel Tunnel between Calais/Coquelles in northern France and Folkestone in Kent, with direct access to the motorway network to London. The journey takes around 35 minutes, with departures as often as every 20 minutes during peak times.
